Amarnath Pilgrimage Registration 2024
Amarnath Pilgrimage Registration is a mandatory document for devotees who wish to visit the holy Amarnath Shrine. The registration process is simple and easy, and can be done online or offline.
The purpose of Amarnath Pilgrimage Registration is to:
- Maintain a record of all pilgrims who will be visiting the shrine.
- Provide insurance to pilgrims in case of any mishap.
- Help the government to plan for the pilgrimage and ensure the safety of pilgrims.
There are two routes to the Amarnath Shrine: the Pahalgam route and the Baltal route. Each route has a quota of 10,000 pilgrims per day. This means that only 20,000 pilgrims are allowed to visit the shrine each day.
Additional Points:
- Both routes require registration and medical fitness certificate.
- Helicopter services available on both routes (Till Panchtarni ).
- Pony rides available on both routes, with stricter regulations on Pahalgam route.
Remember, the best route choice depends on your individual preferences, fitness level, and travel style.

Registration period:
The registration for the Amarnath Pilgrimage 2024 shall start from 15th April through online & offline and will end on August 19, 2024. However, the registration may be closed earlier if the quota is filled up.
Registration fee:
The registration fee for Indian pilgrims is INR 220 and for NRI pilgrims is INR 1510.
Eligibility Criteria for the Amarnath Darshan 2024:
To be eligible to register for the Amarnath Pilgrimage 2024, pilgrims must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Pilgrims must be Indian citizens, Foreigners or NRIs.
- Health: Pilgrims must be in good health.
- Documentation: Pilgrims must have a valid passport or identity card.
- Medical certificate: Pilgrims must have a medical certificate from a registered doctor.
- Photograph: Pilgrims must have a passport-size photograph.
How to register for Amarnath Pilgrimage 2024
Registration process:
Pilgrims can register for the Amarnath Pilgrimage 2024 online or offline.
- Online registration: Pilgrims can register online at the official website of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. If you are unable to see availability for full darshan on dates between 24th June and 10th July, we will provide the same with Amarnath Tour Package Booking. After 20th July, you will be unable to see the ice lingam of Lord Shiva this is the reason starting dates are crucial.

- Select the Date & Check the Availability
- Fill The Pilgrims Details
- Upload the Certified Medical Certificate
- Pay the amount of Rs 220
- Download & Print the Registration Permit
Important Information for Embarking on the Pilgrimage:
Health and Registration:
- Ensure your medical certificate is issued by an authorized doctor or hospital in your state.
- Upload a scanned copy of your medical certificate in .PDF format (max 1MB) during registration.
- Photo requirements: .JPEG or .JPG format only, max 1MB.
Eligibility:
- Age restrictions apply: 13 years old and above, 70 years old and below.
- Pregnant women beyond 6 weeks are not eligible.
Important Documents:
- Carry the original copies of your photo ID and medical certificate with you during the Pilgrimage.

The online registration for the Amarnath Pilgrimage 2024 will end on August 17, 2024, but this is subject to availability. The banks will stop registration for a particular date 8 days before the date of travel to help the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) consolidate the figures for the official pilgrimage schedule of Jun 24 to August 19, 2024.
